Do you involve young volunteers (aged 12 – 25 years old) within your organisation? Then we are appealing to you to encourage them to sign up to the Saltire Awards and gain recognition for their commitment to volunteering.
Young people all over the Falkirk area are getting involved in volunteering in order to achieve their Saltire Awards.
The Saltire Awards are Scottish Government’s way of celerating, recognising and rewarding the commitment, contribution and achievements of young volunteers in Scotland. They are progressive and allow young people to achieve certificates at 10, 25, 50, 100, 200, and 500 hours of volunteering.
Young people have shown understanding and compassion during COVID-19. By reaching out to volunteer during this time, they are not only aiding their community, but benefiting their own wellbeing and future through earning certificates.
Young volunteers can register for the awards themselves by registering at the Saltire Awards website, where they can keep a record of their volunteering hours and request various awards throughout their volunteering journey.
Alternatively, you can become a Group Administator supporting your young volunteers, by managing the requests and printing of the different Saltire Awards Certificates.
Our team will be hosting online training on Tuesday 9th June to help groups and organisations navigate their way through the awards.
