As part of their Refugee Week 2025 celebrations, Forth Valley Welcome is holding a Refugee Career Fair for New Scots in Falkirk District, Stirlingshire and Clackmannanshire.
The fair will take place Wednesday 18 June 2025, 11am – 1:30pm, at the Holy Trinity Church Hall, Albert Place, Stirling, FK8 2RG, and is aimed at New Scots looking for work, training or to get involved with volunteering. Entry is free, though booking is required, and tea, coffee and light snacks will be provided.
Designed as an opportunity for New Scots to meet local employers, support organisations, and volunteering groups in one space, attendees can:
- find out about jobs and training
- talk directly to employers
- hand in their CV and ask questions in a friendly space
- learn how to build their career in the UK
- discover volunteering opportunities
- get support from Forth Valley Welcome’s volunteers on the day
There will be no interpreters, but volunteers will be available to assist where possible. Attendees should feel free to bring a friend, Home Visitor or support worker to help them on the day. Those who already have CVs are also encouraged to bring it with them, and anyone who needs help preparing ahead of the event can reach out to the Forth Valley Welcome team by email: admin@forthvalleywelcome.org
