The Pharmacy Practice Committee (PPC) is a Committee of the Health Board, which includes 3 Lay Members. Currently, the PPC is seeking more volunteer Lay Members to join them.
Lay Members bring with them objectivity, local knowledge and a service user’s perspective to PPC meetings. They apply these skills to the decision-making process of the Committee and ensure that the voice of the public is represented.
Members are appointed for a term of 3 years, with an option for extension, and the opportunity to attend a training session.
Lay Members cannot be, nor previously have been, a doctor, dentist, ophthalmic optician or pharmacist, or an employee of a doctor, dentist, ophthalmic optician or pharmacist.
