Poppy Scotland are looking for volunteers to support their “Bud Touring Exhibition on Wheels” event, which will be in Falkirk for 2 weeks in March, from Monday 16th March – Thursday 26th March.
Poppy Scotland’s “Bud” is an 18-tonne truck that transforms into a contemporary exhibition and interactive learning space, designed to teach communities across Scotland about the importance of remembrance and the heritage of the poppy.
Visitors to the exhibition will hear stories from veterans and learn more about the work carried out by Poppy Scotland.
Roles available include:
- Bud Heritage Volunteers, involving taking the Bud truck to school children of all ages, and supporting the Bud Learning and Outreach Officers to deliver the Bud Project
- Bud Veteran Volunteers, with the opportunity for veterans to attend events local or national in their area as volunteers and talk about their experiences of being a veteran in the forces, while also supporting the Bud Learning and Outreach Officers to deliver the Bud Project
