Strathcarron Hospice is relocating their Stenhousemuir charity shop, with opening day taking place this Saturday 1st July from 10am.
The new shop is based in the former B&M store (next to Asda) on Hallam Road, Stenhousemuir, FK5 3DB. At nearly double the size of the current shop, Strathcarron is embracing the opportunity to accept more of the items generously donated at the new shop, such as larger pieces including furniture and beds. The new shop will be their largest charity shop premises, and their new “flagship”.
People will also have the opportunity to sit with a tea or coffee, relax and chat in the new “community living room”, which is funded by the Falkirk Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund.
Those visiting the shop will be able to see the hard work and dedication of individual people, local organisations, and students from Larbert High, who came together to ensure the shop was ready to open on schedule.
Strathcarron Hospice said:
“The Hospice has had donations of time, goods and services and are as always, truly grateful for the generosity of our local community for pulling together to help.
“By choosing to purchase preloved clothes, furniture and other items from one of our charity shops, you’re not only being more sustainable, you’re supporting your local Hospice, helping people with life limiting conditions to live their lives.”
With the new shop opening, they are looking for more volunteers within the shop (linked for your convenience), and for 2 new Retail Assistants in paid roles.
