Social Security Scotland have recently introduced news changes to the Best Start Foods programme for families who have no access to public. They now provide access to payments equivalent to Best Start Foods for parents and guardians with no access to public funds if they meet the following conditions:
- they’re responsible for at least one child under three who’s a British citizen;
- they’re not able to claim public funds due to their immigration status or lack of immigration status; and
- if they are a single adult household, their income is £1,652.25 or less a month after tax or, if they are a couple household, their income is £1,954.80 or less a month after tax.
