The members of the Falkirk and Stirling networks at Neighbourhood Networks are hosting a Clothing Swap Shop event on Saturday 8th July, 1pm – 3pm at the Falkirk Sewing Studio, in Callendar Square Shopping Centre, High Street, Falkirk, FK1 1UJ.
The aim of the event is to challenge the stigma for anyone who has to use clothes banks and charity shops, while also reducing clothing going to landfill, recycling and repurposing materials, as well as an opportunity to have fun, meet new people and connect with the local community.
Any clothing left over will be donated to the Falkirk Sewing Studio as part of their support to the local refugee communities.
Neighbourhood Networks would be grateful for any clothing donations, hangers and plastic bags in advance of the event (especially men’s clothing, as Falkirk Sewing Studio currently have a shortage). They are also looking to borrow portable clothes rails.
For further information, including how to donate for the event, please contact Pauline Phee by email: paulinephee@neighbourhoodnetworks.org
