Improving Health Developing Effective Practice (IHDEP) is an intensive training course delivered collaboratively by Health Improvement and Public Health staff from Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), Clackmannanshire and Stirling HSCP, and NHS Forth Valley.
Designed for third sector staff, the programme aims to build confidence and clarity in planning, delivering and evaluating health improvement activities which impact people’s health and wellbeing, in order to help recognise the strategic value of these efforts. This can also help improve sharing this impact with and amongst different partners in different sectors.
IHDEP strengthens understanding of health inequalities, policy, behaviour change and community development, while enhancing practical evaluation skills. It also helps staff better explain and evidence their impact to funders and stakeholders.
With a strong focus on reflection and partnership working, IHDEP supports values-led practice and helps staff evidence their impact, ultimately driving meaningful change in the communities they serve.
