On Wednesday 28 May 2025, 9:45am – 1pm, join CVS Falkirk & District and THRE as we explore what a Human Rights and Equalities First Approach can mean to your organisation, before hearing from local Community Voices putting this into practice. Taking place at Tamfourhill Community Hub (115 Cumbrae Drive, Tamfourhill, FK1 4SD), the session aims to help third sector organisations integrate human rights and equalities into their work and organisational practices.
We are pleased to host this event in partnership with Third Sector Human Rights and Equalities (THRE), who develop resources, training and networks to support third sector organisations towards taking a human rights and equalities first approach to their organisational development and delivery. You can find out more about THRE via their website (linked for your convenience).
Open to all, this event has limited capacity therefore we ask that you complete the online registration form to reserve your spot (linked for your convenience). Kindly let us know of any accessibility or dietary requirements when booking.
Kicking off the session, THRE will introduce the principles of a human rights and equalities first approach, and share how these can be effectively integrated into organisational structures and community work. Following this, we will welcome contributions from local organisations LGBT Youth Scotland and RISE (Racial Inclusion Supporting Empowerment) Forth Valley, who will speak on lived experience of human rights and equalities, and successfully embeddeding these approaches in their services.
Lunch and refreshments provided.
