Falkirk Council has launched a public consultation on the future growth and development of the area under its forthcoming Local Development Plan (LDP3). The “How Should Our Places Grow?” consultation is open from 3 October to 21 November 2025 and invites residents, businesses and stakeholders to help shape the strategy for 2028–2038 and beyond.
What is the Proposed Plan?
Having approved its Evidence Report, the Council is now preparing the Proposed Plan, which will define how and where land use, development, infrastructure, housing and environmental policies will be applied across Falkirk’s area.
The Proposed Plan will be structured around four main strategy themes:
- Place & Wellbeing
- Climate & Nature
- Homes
- Business & Infrastructure
How to Take Part
Survey: A public survey is available, centred on the strategy themes, asking for input on priorities for growth, change, and development across the council area.
