The Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust has announced that its next funding round is now open. They aim to give grants to those in society who face the greatest challenges and whose opportunities are most limited. As there is an ever-growing need for grants to support the essential work that many charities do, the Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust are gradually making their criteria and priorities more focussed to ensure that they can give the limited resources that they have to projects that they believe will do the most to help those with greatest need.
The focus of this funding round is on Food Poverty. Organisations eligible to apply are registered charities with an operating income/expenditure of between £100,000 and £1 million. The Trust will prioritise applications that focus on enabling resilience and independence, particularly food education and cooking skills.
The level of funding available to support food poverty projects will be up to £1,000. Please note that there are no exceptions to the income and expenditure criteria.
The closing date for applications will be Wednesday 31 July 2024.
