The University of Dundee’s fully funded Graduate Apprenticeship Programme will once again be returning in September 2025!
Webinar
To celebrate, they will be hosting an overview webinar on Wednesday 5 March 2025, 1pm – 1:45pm, where attendees will be able to find out everything they need to know about the Graduate Apprenticeships (and how they can help employers upskill their workforce at no additional cost to their business).
To attend, please register on the event page (employees and employers both welcome).
Graduate Apprenticeship Programme
The Graduate Apprenticeship Programme provides the opportunity to develop current or new members of your workforce (of all ages) to honours degree level at no additional cost to your business. There are fully funded honours degree courses available in the following areas:
- Business Management
- IT Management for Business
- IT Software Development
- Civil Engineering
- Engineering, Design and Manufacturing
Starting in September 2025, employees in the programme spend one day per week on campus, and the remaining 4 days per week working in their role. In their first year (2025/26), this is a Monday, Tuesday in second year, Wednesday in third, and Thursday in fourth. In addition to the one day per week on campus, apprentices typically spend 7-9 hours per week on additional study (outside of their contracted hours). At the end of 4 years, they can leave with a full honours degree.
Each course has been designed around the needs of the industry, with a varied curriculum being taught alongside work-based learning. This combination of university and work-based learning is based on evidence that shows it not only increases the individual’s knowledge and understanding, but also broadens their skills and experience. In addition, participating employees are transferring their new knowledge back into their organisation.
All applicants are treated on a case by case basis, so work experience will be taken into consideration alongside their qualifications.
