Generations Working Together Early Years Practitioner Workshop

Posted on July 6, 2018

Generations Working Together (GWT) invite early years practitioners involved (or looking to get involved) in intergenerational projects to a FREE workshop on Monday 27th August, 1:30pm – 4:30pm at Brunswick House, 51 Wilson Street, Glasgow, G1 1UZ.

GWT are looking to produce a new publication, called “An Intergenerational Guide for Early Years Practitioners”, and are seeking input from those with experience of the field.

The publication will aim to provide guidance on:

  • planning an intergenerational project and setting appropriate outcomes
  • what activities do and don’t work
  • ideas on who to connect with to create new partnerships
  • benefits of intergenerational work for early years
  • evaluating and measuring the impact

GWT hopes to hear from early years practitioners with experience of running short term and long term intergenerational projects, evaluating an intergenerational project, and experience of pitfalls and barriers which can occur, with ideas on how to address them.  They would also like to hear from those with experience of co-locations and shared spaces, and of creating the spaces for intergenerational projects.

Places are limited, and booking is essential.

To book your place, or for further information, please visit the GWT website.

Call to Increase Third Sector Equalities and Funding Support in Scotland

Scottish Parliament’s Equalities and Human Rights Committee (EHRiC) is calling on Scottish Government to increase its equalities and third sector funding support and for all public bodies to look at innovative ways to fund the third sector. In its pre-budget report, the committee states that the work of the third sector is vital in realising equalities and human rights in Scotland, but how it is funded needs to be reviewed.
