Fully funded training opportunities are available through CVS Falkirk & District’s Empowering Communities Programme in February and March 2026. There is no cost to third sector groups or organisations to attend, however places must be booked in advance.
The opportunities in February and March include:
- Fire Safety and Fire Warden Training: 12:30pm – 4pm, Monday 23 February 2026, in person at Polmont Community Hub, Greenpark Drive, Polmont, FK2 0PZ
Delivered by Civicos Training and aimed at third sector groups and organisations who have responsibility for fire safety and fire warden duties in premises like an office space or community hub or centre. Refreshments will be provided. Please note there are limited spaces left for this course and once full a waiting list will be created in case of any cancellations.

- Involving Young People in Volunteering: 2pm – 4pm, Monday 16 March 2026, in person at Talbot House, Talbot Street, Grangemouth, FK3 8HU
Delivered by CVS Falkirk & District and Youth VIP, and aimed at third sector groups and organisations who engage with young volunteers, or would like to develop their approach to engaging young volunteers. Refreshments will be provided.

- Developing Community-Led Events: 2pm – 4pm, Monday 23 March 2026, hybrid (join us on Teams or in-person) at the CVS Falkirk & District office, Unit 7B, Callendar Business Park, FK1 1XR
Delivered by CVS Falkirk & District, aimed at third sector groups and organisations who are keen to begin, build, improve their approach to developing community-led events, including how to present project plans to funders and stakeholders. Refreshments will be provided.
