Free Community Meal

Forth Environment Link is holding their first Community Meal on Wednesday 28^th August, 6pm – 8pm at their Falkirk office, 199A – 203 High Street, Falkirk, FK1 1DU.

The event is free and open to everyone, though donations are welcome.

There will be freshly prepared homemade curry, and the opportunity to meet new people within the local community.

Forth Valley Rape Crisis Fixed Term Vacancies

Forth Valley Rape Crisis Centre is recruiting two new fixed term Support Workers. One position will develop and deliver a new Outreach Service to reach out to survivors across the Forth Valley area; the second worker will focus on developing services for survivors who are on their waiting list. Please note that due to the nature of these roles, they are reserved for women only, under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010. The deadline for applications is 12pm on Monday 30th November.

Scottish Huntington’s Association Financial Wellbeing Officer Vacancy

Scottish Huntington’s Association is currently recruiting a Financial Wellbeing Officer – Energy Specialism. The position is 36 hours per week, with a salary of £29,242 per annum. A clean current driving licence and use of a car is essential, and the successful candidate will be subject to a Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme check. The deadline for applications is Sunday 29th November.

Falkirk School Holiday Food Fund: Open for Applications

The Falkirk School Holiday Food Fund is open for applications for the December 2020 school holidays. The fund has been set up to support local projects tackling food insecurity in Falkirk communities, working to feed children, young people and their families during school holidays. Groups can apply for up to £1,000, and must be constituted.

Social Security Scotland Case Study Request

Social Security Scotland is looking to celebrate the positive outcomes their benefits have made for people. To do this, they are looking for anyone who would be willing to talk about their experience of receiving any of Social Security Scotland’s current benefits, to be shared as Case Studies.
