Funding is now available for third sector organisations to support job placement opportunities for people experiencing longer term unemployment in our local communities.
This is a Scottish Government funded programme, with up to 57 funded placements to allocate in the Falkirk area.
Placements will be for 26 weeks, and can be flexible to meet the needs of both the organisation and people participating. They will be paid the equivalent to National Living Wage, £9.50 per hour for 30 hours a week.
This can also be flexible for part-time opportunities.
Additional support will be provided by Falkirk Council’s Employment and Training Unit (ETU) during the programme, including:
- support and training for participants prior to placement
- recruitment support
- funding for certificated training or accreditation of the participant while in placement
- ongoing in work support for the participant and organisation
- support to plan participants next steps and progression at the end of the placement
To provide further information on the programme and how organisations can host these funded placements, ETU and their partners are running an information session on Tuesday 16th November, 2pm – 3pm.
