With only ONE MONTH to go until Falkirk Funders Fayre, we’re delighted to confirm some new exhibitors for the day, including NHS Health Promotions and Scene Community, who are featured in this week’s spotlight.
Scene Community
This is the first Falkirk Funders Fayre for Scene Community, a Scottish social enterprise focused on strengthening communities through consultancy, research and development of ICT products, who work across the renewable energy and energy access sectors.
Founded in Edinburgh in 2011, Scene Community aims to address the gap between energy generation and citizens, setting out to reduce the size of this gap, by helping people unfamiliar with the technology to develop their own renewable energy solutions. They have now developed a reputation as one of UK’s foremost community energy organisations and have developed a number of clean energy ICT products.
They are also involved in proposals for a community-owned solar project in Grangemouth. Working as project lead, they have identified a short-list of potential sites to host community-owned solar panel array, including Grangemouth Sports Complex and Kinneil Kerse Landfill.
Local organisations and residents can find out more about these proposals, and how to submit their feedback, by viewing the November 2019 Grangemouth Community Newsletter article (which has been linked for your convenience).

NHS Health Promotions
NHS Forth Valley’s Health Promotions team are also new to the event – they aim to ensure that individuals at every stage of life have access to the knowledge and opportunities needed to make healthy choices and stay well.
They provide training, Continuing Personal Development (CPD) opportunities, information and resources to those who can influence the public’s health. This includes NHS staff, local authority staff, and other private and third sector organisations who can influence public health at a local level.
They also run campaigns and activities directly aimed at the public.
Across Forth Valley, NHS Health Promotions provides advice in workplaces regarding health promotion and Occupational Health and Safety, as well as services in prisons and support to individuals, families and communities.
