Work is underway to develop a new Family Hub within Forth Valley Royal Hospital, aimed at supporting families through practical help and access to wider community support. The initiative is being developed collaboratively across health and partnership teams and is now seeking to explore opportunities for third sector involvement.
The focus of the project involves:
- Phase 1: Emergency packs for families on the Children’s Ward (including essentials and signposting to support services).
- Phase 2: Establishing a Family Hub space within FVRH, offering a Food Pantry, advice, and wellbeing support.
Third sector organisations interested in contributing are invited to attend an online session, which will take place via MS Teams on Monday 10 November 2025, from 2–3pm, introducing the proposal and exploring partnership opportunities.
Joined by Helen McPherson (Consultant Paediatrician, Forth Valley Royal Hospital); Dr Rosie McNee (Public Health Registrar); Annemie Breesch (Service Manager Paediatrics); and Gillian Millar (Children’s Services Planning Partnership Manager, Falkirk Council), this session will focus on:
- Introducing the Family Hub proposal.
- Exploring opportunities for third sector partnership and co-delivery.
- Identifying existing work to avoid duplication.
- Discussing how impact and outcomes could be measured collectively.
To attend this session, please email info@cvsfalkirk.org.uk to request the MS Teams link.
