Money Advice Scotland has released its events schedule for August 2021, with all events, training and sessions free to attend. Upcoming events include “Money Works Webinar: Car Insurance and Finance” (on Thursday 12th August, 2pm – 3pm and Wednesday 18th August, 10:30am – 11:30am), their “Student Money Webinar” (on Tuesday 24th August, 1pm – 2pm), and “Train the Trainer: Digital Delivery of Financial Wellbeing”.

“OWR: Feeley and Opportunities for Co-production”

In February 2021 the completed Independent Review of Adult Social Care (known as the “Feeley review”), commissioned by Scottish Government, was published. One recommendation of the Review was the creation of a National Care Service; Scottish Government has now opened a national consultation on this, with several online consultation events. The deadline for consultation responses is Monday 18th October. Our colleagues at Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector (GCVS) are also focusing their next “Our World Reimagined – Social Care” events on the Feeley review.

Storytelling with Strathcarron Hospice

Following on from the success of their recent “Storytelling” and “Musical Memories” Zoom sessions, Strathcarron Hospice has announced further dates for both, along with a new session on Local History. The sessions are designed to be very relaxed and informal, and are open to everyone; you do not need to have a connection to the Hospice to attend. The sessions all begin at 2pm via Zoom.
