Young Trustees Online Community Café

“Are you a trustee under 30 years old or aspiring to become one?  Join the Young Trustees Movement (YTM) for their online Community Café!”

The next Young Trustees Community Café takes place online, 12pm – 1pm on Thursday 18 September 2025, offering young trustees the space to make meaningful networks and learn from one another.

“When 1/12 trustees are named either John or David and fewer than 3% of trustees are under 30, it’s no secret that board diversity is an issue. The Young Trustees Community Cafe is YTM’s way of levelling the playing field.

“Whether you want to share your experiences or gather fresh ideas, this is your go-to spot.”

This space was created in response to requests from young trustees, providing them with a safe space to connect with fellow young trustees, exchange insights, and dive into resources, spending an hour in discussions, networking, and empowering each other.

Each café will feature (subject to change depending on attendees and speakers):

• Q&A with a young trustee
• opportunity to hear about trustee vacancies
• breakout rooms for networking, sharing advice, and having meaningful conversations
• reflections and feedback

Please note, the Q&A session (for the first 20 minutes) is open to all, but following this the cafe will be a young person only space for those under 30 years old.
