Falkirk and Clackmannanshire Carers Centre Anniversary Event

Falkirk and Clackmannanshire Carers Centre is celebrating its 20^th anniversary year by holding an awareness raising event on Friday 16^th September, 9am – 5pm in the Community Hub in Howgate Shopping Centre, Falkirk.

Carers are people who provide care and support to family members, other relatives, friends and neighbours. The people they care for may be affected by disability, physical or mental health issues (often long-term), frailty, substance misuse or another condition.

The event aims to raise awareness of the needs of adult carers, young adult carers and young carers, in addition to highlighting the support that has been provided to carers within the local community.

Carers Centre staff, board members and volunteers will provide information about the services available to carers on the day. There will also be information about volunteering opportunities.

The event is free to attend, and open to carers, anyone who knows a carer, or who would simply like to know more about what carers do.
