February 27, 2024 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Later this month, Community Land Scotland, in partnership with the Scottish Land Fund, is holding 4 information sessions looking at the practicalities and benefits of community ownership of land and buildings.

The Forth Valley session will take place on Tuesday 27th February, 6pm – 8pm at Creative Stirling, 44 King Street, Stirling, FK8 1AY. The sessions have been designed to provide communities with an overview of community ownership, including:

  • an introduction to community landownership: how can it help your community? How do you start? Who can help?
  • information about communities’ rights to register interest in land or buildings
  • an overview of the support available
  • inspiring community ownership stories

Following a some short presentations, there will be time to ask questions, and to meet with representatives from the Community Land Team, the Scottish Land Fund and Community Land Scotland.

Other dates currently include Monday 26th February in Angus, Wednesday 28th February in Dundee, and Thursday 29th February in Aberdeen. However, Community Land Scotland is keen to meet with communities who are looking to learn more, including those in other areas of Forth Valley (such as towns and communities across Falkirk District).
