Diabetes UK is holding DUKPC Insider, an event for people affected by diabetes to learn more about ongoing research and innovations, taking place on Saturday 21st March at the University of Strathclyde Technology and Innovation Centre, 99 George Street, Glasgow, G1 1RD.
The event follows the 3 day Diabetes UK Professional Conference (DUKPC) (taking place Wednesday 18th March – Friday 20th March at the SEC), and is designed to highlight key points of the conference to a non-healthcare professional audience.
DUKPC Insider aims to provide an opportunity for those living with or affected by diabetes, or those with an interest in the condition, to hear conference highlights, lectures and seminars. Topics on the day will include current research underway in Scotland, diabetes technology, genetics, and mental health.
The event is specifically designed for individuals, not professionals, and is open to adults living with diabetes, or parents of children with diabetes, their friends and family. Please note that this event is not suitable for children, although older teenagers (16 years old and over) can attend with an adult.
Tickets are £10 each for Diabetes UK members, and £20 for non-members, which includes lunch and refreshments.
