Cyrenians Summer Fete at Dollar Park

Cyrenians are holding a Summer Fete at the Walled Garden in Dollar Park, Falkirk, FK1 5SQ on Saturday 19^th August, 10am – 3pm.

There will be two live bands playing on the bandstand, hot dogs and refreshments, and a Tombola with super prizes. For children there will be games (such as an egg and spoon race, sack race, tug of war and a three-legged race), with prizes. An information board will also be on display, on the new plans for the restoration and development of Arnotdale House.

The event is free, and open to all.

KSC Senior Support Workers Vacancies

Kingdom Support and Care (KSC) are currently recruiting for 2 Senior Support Workers. The position is 39 hours per week at a salary of £21,794 (plus a payment of £70 per sleepover shift), based in Falkirk. The Deadline for applications is 12pm on Friday 17th August.

FVMSN Volunteer and Casework Coordinator Sessional Worker Vacancy

Forth Valley Migrant Support Network (FVMSN) are currently recruiting for a Volunteer and Casework Coordinator Sessional Worker. The role involves contributing to the work and development of the organisation by providing advice, information, support, practical assistance, and representation to migrant workers during the transition period out of the European Union. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Tuesday 24th July.

Eat the Street Volunteers

Forth Environment Link (FEL) are holding an “Eat the Street” event at their community hub, 199A – 203 High Street, Falkirk, FK1 1DU, on Saturday 4th August, 11am – 4pm, and looking for volunteers to get involved. The event theme focuses on nature and the environment. FEL are particularly looking for volunteers to assist on the day, and to get involved beforehand as part of the Common Thread project.

Community Grants Scheme: Third Round Open

The NHS Health Promotion Service has announced the 3rd round of funding for their Community Grants Scheme. The grants can be used to support work around mental health and wider health inequalities work across organisations and community groups. Small grants of up to £400 are available for health improvement projects within communities. This round is open until January 2019.
