CVS Falkirk Board Members

Posted on August 27, 2020

CVS Falkirk & District is recognised by Scottish Government and Falkirk Community Planning Partnership as the Third Sector Interface (TSI) for the Falkirk area. We have a primary role in ensuring the continuation and development of a vibrant third sector (charities, social enterprises, community and voluntary groups etc) in Falkirk.

We’re looking for new Board Members to join our existing Board.  We are proud to have a balanced Board of volunteers of all ages and genders, and strive to continue our diverse Board membership whilst meeting the business needs. We would particularly welcome applications from individuals with the following skills and experiences:

  • current CVS Falkirk members and/or working in the third sector
  • Communications and Marketing
  • Governance
  • Community Leader/Activist
  • Leadership

A timeline of our selection process is available below:

Timeline for applications and appointment
Closing date for applications 12pm on Monday 14th September 2020
Meetings with Chair w.c. Monday 14th September 2020
Invite to Board Meeting Thursday 24th September 2020
Formal appointment at AGM Thursday 19th November 2020

All Board meetings are held in the evening and all training will be provided. It is a requirement that all elected Board members become a member of CVS Falkirk; as Board members are volunteers, the position is unpaid.

As noted above, the deadline for applications is 12pm (midday) on Monday 14th September.

For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Jen Kerr by phone: 07384813276.

For further information, including how to apply, please contact Nicola Cox by email: nicola@cvsfalkirk.org.uk
