The Central Scotland Regional Equalities Council (CSREC) is expanding their Board of Directors and are looking to recruit new volunteer Directors to support the organisation’s with governance and management of the organisation.
They are looking for committed and suitably qualified individuals (or those willing to learn) from different communities. Those interested should be able to demonstrate good knowledge of issues affecting people from ethnic minority communities, and be keen to work with others to address these.
CSREC is particularly keen to hear from forward thinking individuals with competencies and experiences in some, or all, of the following areas:
- Equalities and Human Rights
- challenges faced by minority ethnic communities
- financial management and business development
- fundraising and income generation
- law / legal matters / constitution / Company House and charity law
- voluntary sector management and governance
- local and national public service management experience
- Public Relations
- Lobbying & Advocacy
- Human Resources Management
Time Commitment
The Board currently meets once per month in the evening via a blend of in-person and Zoom meetings, for approximately 2 hours. Outside of these Board meetings, there may be additional tasks, such a document writing, subcommittee duties, attending events and supporting staff.
Application Process
All applications received will be acknowledged within 2 working days. Selected applicants will be contacted within 2 weeks and will be invited to meet with members of the Membership Subcommittee, comprised of current Board members, for an information conversation, and invited to attend a Board Meeting.
Successful applicants will be informed within 2 working days after this.
