Strengthening Our Community for Suicide Prevention in Denny and Bonnybridge, let’s come together to foster a more supportive and resilient community for all.
CVS Falkirk & District, along with our partners, is hosting a free, informal event focused on suicide prevention within Denny and Bonnybridge. We invite you to join us at Dennyloanhead Community Hall (FK6 5JZ), from 10am – 4pm on Friday 9 May 2025, for a day of learning, training, and community collaboration.
This event is open to all community members, including service providers, businesses, schools, community leaders, volunteers, and the public. Whether you’re new to the subject or have prior knowledge, this event is designed to offer something for everyone.
What You Can Expect:
- Empowerment & Knowledge: Gain a clear understanding of suicide prevention and its core principles.
- Expert Training: Receive valuable training from Fiona Bartley (Senior Health Improvement Officer, Falkirk HSCP) and Margaret-Anne MacMillan (Health Improvement Officer, Falkirk HSCP) on how to respond effectively and compassionately when support is needed in your community.
- Collaboration for Change: Work together locally to develop a Creating Hope Charter that evokes the values and principles required for mentally healthy, suicide-safer communities, that are inclusive, caring, and compassionate, to thrive.
Whilst this event is open to all, spaces are limited therefore we ask all interested in attending to complete our MS registration of interest form (linked for your convenience).
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Important Note: This event will cover sensitive topics related to suicide prevention. We encourage participants to consider their wellbeing before attending, as these discussions may be emotionally challenging. Support resources will be available throughout the day for anyone who may need assistance.
