Scottish Government has announced that, as of Monday 24th January, the additional restrictions put in place before Christmas will end, including:
- an end to 1 metre distancing and table service in hospitality
- no attendance limits at indoor events
- face coverings must continue to be worn in public places and on public transport (exemptions apply)
- the guidance to keep social interaction at home and in indoor public places to a maximum of three households is also being lifted
- as case numbers remain high, people are being asked to be cautious and to limit contacts where possible, in addition to taking lateral flow tests before meeting people from other households
These measures were announced in the First Minister’s address to Scottish Parliament on Tuesday 18th January, which is available to watch on the Scottish Parliament website, with a transcript also available.
