This winter, we are glad to have been able to support some of the incredible Foodbanks and Pantries working tirelessly across Falkirk District to combat food insecurity.
A massive thank you to staff from Coversure Insurance Services Falkirk, Russel Aitken, and DW Parklands for your generosity in donating to our Community Food Drive within Callendar Business Park – showcasing the potential when neighbours come together. Together we collected non-perishable goods, hygiene products, and more to support foodbanks through the winter. We were also pleased to include donations of Christmas chocolates to ensure those facing food insecurity are not left out of the joy of the festive season.
Thanks to the generosity of our neighbours and the CVS Falkirk & District staff team, we were thrilled to support four of our local pantries (chosen at random from the 16 organisations working across Falkirk District), and to have dropped off parcels to Martha’s Pantry (Slamannan), Falkirk Safebase (Bainsford Community Hall), Grangemouth Community Pantry (Dundas Community Centre), and ROOTS Food Bank and Community Events (Bonnybridge).
With many highlighting an increasing number of support requests coming in, we are thankful to be able to provide a small amount towards supporting our Falkirk District communities. Some food banks and pantries available locally include (each linked for your convenience):
