Keep Scotland Beautiful (KSB) has released the February and March dates for their free climate emergency training, with the next full day courses taking place:
- Full day course Tuesday 15th February: 9:30am – 5pm
- Full day course Thursday 24th February: 9:30am – 5pm
“Climate Emergency Training for Youth Workers” (and for those working with young people) aims to help people gain an understanding of the climate emergency, and develop the skills and tools needed to support young people in climate action. Participants should increase their knowledge and skills, and learn about real-life ideas for communicating and working with young people on this topic.
Those who successfully complete the course will also have the opportunity to earn a certificate of Carbon Literacy – a vital qualification for supporting young people in climate action.
This course consists of 3 Zoom sessions along with some learning in your own time, with a total of 7 – 8 hours learning.
The training is part of the Scottish Government funded COP26 Youth Climate Programme, and is being delivered by KSB and YouthLink Scotland. With the current COP26 Youth Climate Programme finishing at the end of March, these may be the final dates of the training.
