Learn how your community can write applications that stand out from the crowd and take your climate action to the next level. On Wednesday 31 July, between 10am-1pm at the Bowhouse Community Centre (130 Bowhouse Road Grangemouth FK3 0BQ), join FEL Scotland and CVS Falkirk & District for this workshop aimed at boosting your efforts to grant fund community-led initiatives interested in funding their climate actions.
This event is for community groups, community councils, development trusts and any community-led initiatives interested in funding their climate actions. It aims to demonstrate what funders are looking for and how you can be best placed to successfully apply for grants.
The agenda will cover:
- Introduction to the Forth Valley Climate Action Hub from FEL
- How to be fundraising ready: what funders are looking for and what you can do to prepare
- Case study from FEL’s 2023 round of seed grants
- Secrets of writing successful grant applications
- Preview of 2024 seed grant fund from FEL
CVS Falkirk will share the secrets to writing great grant applications and fill you in on good grant compliance. FEL will be on hand to update you on what support is available from the Climate Action Hub for your community-led climate actions, including news of upcoming seed grants.
The morning will finish with lunch and an opportunity to network. This event is free, but places are limited so early booking is advised.
