Keep Scotland Beautiful (KSB) has a range of online resources available to help individuals and community groups gather evidence about littering, dog fouling and flytipping, through their Clean Up Scotland litter tackling campaign.
These resources also cover how people can use this information to take preventative action against litter in their communities and local areas.
KSB suggests creating and completing a local survey as a good first step, designed to help people determine their local litter problems so they can tackle the problem effectively. KSB has an online survey information pack, and other related documents needed to complete the survey, available to download.
The online resources are designed to help communities confidently identify the specific problems so they can use these surveys as evidence to target campaigns to change negative behaviours and prevent littering. Litter surveys will also contribute to national evidence around litter and irresponsible behaviour.
The findings of each local survey can then be uploaded to the Clean Up Scotland online portal.
