Falkirk and Clackmannanshire Carers Centre has launched their new “Care with Confidence” online information sessions for carers.
All sessions will take place using Zoom, which allows unpaid family carers to meet online and talk with each other, while learning about the services available to support them in their caring role.
Sessions include:
- “Home Fire Safety – New Scottish Legislation”
Taking place on Tuesday 1st September, 10:30am – 12:30pm, this session covers what homeowners need to know about legislation changes relating to fire and smoke alarms. The legislation states that an “Interlinked Fire and Smoke alarm system” must be fitted in every property and that there should be adequate Carbon Monoxide protection.
- “Home Energy Scotland”
This session takes place on Tuesday 8th September, 10:30am – 12:30pm. Home Energy Scotland aims to help people in Scotland create warmer homes, reduce their energy bills and help tackle climate change.
They are also involved in the “Warmer Homes Discount”, which carers may be entitled to, or grants to help raise the energy efficiency of their property.
To book your place at any session, or for further information (including how to join a Zoom session or get online), please contact Donna Mulder by phone: 07824381280, or email: donnamulder@centralcarers.co.uk
