Falkirk and Clackmannanshire Carers Centre ‘Care with Confidence’ information sessions for carers will continue to run on Tuesdays from 10.30 am – 12.30 pm. For these sessions, you have a choice of attending online on Zoom or in person at the Carers Centre (FK1 1NB). - 27 August 2024: Dementia – Joint Dementia Initiative (JDI)
The Joint Dementia Initiative services help people who have dementia stay at home and live within their communities for as long as possible. They are currently expanding their service to include some evening and weekend support and would like your input as to what would best suit your needs. Come along to find out more, and how to access this service if you are caring for someone who has dementia.
- 03 September 2024: Life after Stroke
Stroke Association Scotland are raising awareness of three key elements that feature in the Scottish Stroke Improvement Plan (SIP). To help everyone to thrive after stroke, we believe every
stroke survivor should: Leave hospital with a personalised rehabilitation plan; Have contact information for ongoing support from stroke services; Receive a review of their progress and needs six months after their stroke. Come along to find out more.
- 10 September 2024: Self Directed Support (SDS)
Self Directed Support Forth Valley, based in Grangemouth, support people to make informed choices in selecting the care services they need. Come along to this session to learn about the choices you have when you are offered a package of care.
