Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership have launched a community-led initiative to raise awareness of dementia and support people living in the local area. The Dementia Friendly initiative has brought together local services, community groups, schools, and businesses to help foster a dementia friendly environment in the local area.
Building strong links with the local community has been at the heart of the Dementia Friendly Denny programme, which is now ready to roll out across the wider area as ‘Dementia Friendly Falkirk’.
The Denny group has been working with local schools to offer placement and student experiences within health and social care. To expand across the wider local area, Dementia Friendly Falkirk is partnering with local schools to design a new logo and raise awareness.
Pupils are invited to enter the logo competition, with the overall winning design to be featured as the Dementia Friendly Falkirk logo, used across a range of print and digital activity. The logo should represent dementia and be creative, unique, and easy to see – whilst linking to the themes of dementia friendliness and/or the Falkirk area.
To enter, submit your short application form and logo design in either PNG or JPEG format to HSCPcomms@falkirk.gov.uk by midnight on Friday 13 December 2024.
