Through Aldi’s Scottish Sport Fund, grants of up to £2,500 are available to organisations including third sector groups, sports clubs, schools, religious organisations and Scout and Guides groups in Central Scotland, to run sporting activities for the benefit of people in the local community.
To be eligible, projects must be located in areas where there is currently an Aldi store. The fund opens for applications at different times throughout the year in various location throughout Scotland; the current funding round applies to Central Scotland.
Areas in Central Scotland where there are Aldi stores include: Polmont, Camelon, Alloa, Wishaw, Airdrie High Street, Airdrie Manse Place, Carluke, Strathhaven, Hamilton Wellhall Road, Hamilton Retail Park, Motherwell, Belshill, Stirling, Coatbridge and Cumbernauld.
Previous projects supported have included wheelchair sports clubs and special Olympics events.
The closing date for applications is Sunday 13 April 2025.
