Falkirk Adult Support and Protection (ASP) invites you to their upcoming Adult Support and Protection Forum which takes place in person at the Falkirk Community Stadium (Eleven Lounge, 4 Stadium Way, Falkirk, FK2 9EE) from 2pm – 3:30pm on Wednesday 12 June 2024. Please visit their Sign Up website to register for the Forum.
The Forum is delighted to hear from Joy M Gillespie, the CEO of Survivors of Human Trafficking in Scotland (SOHTIS), who highlights: “The truth is that anyone who is supporting vulnerable people is likely to have engaged with trafficked people without realising it.” The Forum will discuss:
- The Nature and Extent of Human Trafficking
- The Health and Social Consequences of Human Trafficking
- The Role of Multiagency Partners in Supporting Victims of Human Trafficking
- How to Respond Appropriately to Victims of Human Trafficking
To participate fully in the Forum, Falkirk ASP ask you to complete the TURAS Human Trafficking eLearning module which will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. To complete this module, you must first register for a TURAS account.
For further information about the Forum, please view the Adult Support and Protection Newsletter. To register for the Forum, please visit their Sign Up website. Or to discover more resources about the topics being discussed, visit the Glow Scotland website.
