Through its Action Earth Grants programme, Volunteering Matters is offering grants of up to £250 to volunteer groups across Scotland for environmental projects which enhance local green spaces. Eligible activities include creating or improving community gardens, wildflower meadows, ponds, woodlands, and other wildlife habitats.
Projects must involve at least 15 volunteers, each contributing a minimum of 5 hours, and be completed by Saturday 28 February 2026. Priority is given to initiatives in areas of social or economic deprivation, those improving community health and wellbeing, and those engaging disabled or vulnerable individuals, or young people under 26 years old.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and assessed promptly.
