Disability Equality Scotland is working in partnership with the Scottish Ambulance Service to host an Access to Patient Transport event on Monday 4th November, 11am – 2pm at the Falkirk Ambulance Station, Grangemouth Road, Falkirk, FK2 9AA.
The aim of this event is to bring together those with disabilities and representatives from the Scottish Ambulance Service to discuss patient transport.
The Scottish Ambulance Service will provide an overview of patient transport services, which will be followed by group discussions covering various topics, including:
- booking and eligibility criteria
- transporting wheelchairs, or travelling with carers
- transport in rural areas
- delays and cancellations
