Young Scot and the Youth Volunteering Legacy Group will host their first Volunteering Summit for young people, youth workers and volunteer-involving groups and organisations on Thursday 3rd February 2022, 12pm – 4pm.
The summit will take place online, designed as an opportunity for young people to get to know staff from youth and voluntary organisations, get involved in collaborative activities and hear about the volunteering journeys and experiences of young people.
The Youth Volunteering Legacy Group was set up as a continuum of the Youth Volunteering Innovation Project (YouthVIP) in 2018. The 18 young people in the group meet fortnightly to oversee the 13 YouthVIP recommendations; delivery of the Volunteering Summit is one of those.
Detailed information for young people (aged 11 – 25 years old) taking part, including the support available when participating and with reasonable adjustments and accessibility, is available on the Young Scot website.
Both young people and representatives from voluntary groups and organisations can sign up online for the Summit now, via the online form.
