Different support is available to help third sector organisations, and people within our local communities, with their energy costs, including:
- The Coalfields Regeneration Trust (CRT) is running a FREE Zoom webinar on Wednesday 7th December, 5:30pm – 7:40pm, in partnership with the Ethical Property Foundation: “Cut Your Energy Costs and Run Green Energy-Efficient Premises”. The webinar has been designed to help third sector and community groups, and their senior teams, understand the principles of cost and energy efficient maintenance management.
- Home Energy Scotland offers free, impartial advice on saving energy, keeping warm at home, renewable energy, and cutting water waste; they have also published a detailed list of programmes and services which can help with financial support like debt, emergency funding and fuel vouchers.
- Poppy Scotland’s new Cost of Living Grants Programme is open to members of the Armed Forces community who are eligible for their support, and are struggling to pay for items and services they need. The programme is designed to allow Poppy Scotland to assist people who need help in a quick and easy way with everyday essentials such as kitchen appliances, clothes, and energy costs. (An informational video is also available.)
