Volunteer Scotland’s Disclosure Services team has created virtual drop-in sessions, taking place every Thursday, 12:30pm – 1:30pm via Zoom, to provide support and answer questions around the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme during this time.
These sessions aim to provide an opportunity to ask any questions around the PVG scheme, including those around the new process. Participants can join the session from any device; those with audio and video setups can use them if they wish, or if not, Zoom’s chat function will allow them to ask their questions and take part in discussion. However, volume must be turned on in order to hear the answers from Volunteer Scotland.
This is an open session, which anyone can join or leave at any time. It is for general questions only – participants must not discuss any confidential information, and the Volunteer Scotland team will not be able to answer any queries about specific cases or applications.
(Please note that Volunteer Scotland is aware that there may be some concerns around someone joining the session, with the sole intent of being disruptive or sharing inappropriate information. They would like to reassure participants that it will not be possible for any participant to take control of the meeting and share inappropriate video content. Genuine participants should not click on any links given in the chat function unless shared by Volunteer Scotland staff.)
To join the session, please visit the Zoom page.
Alternatively, anyone who is unable to join these sessions can still contact Volunteer Scotland with their queries by email: disclosures@volunteerscotland.org.uk
