The Board of Directors and staff team at CVS Falkirk would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended our virtual AGM yesterday afternoon, including all our members, our guests and partners, and those who attended from community groups based across the Falkirk district.
It was an incredibly productive meeting, and we’re glad to have been able to share the last year with you all.
Special thanks also go to:
- our speaker Niall Kearney, Head of the Third Sector Unit at Scottish Government
- Robert Taylor from our auditors Dickson Middleton, who presented and answered questions on our 2020/21 accounts
A transcript of Niall’s talk will be available soon, and our team will circulate this (along with his slides) to all our attendees; we will also share them via our website and e-bulletin.

Niall spoke about the future of Third Sector Interfaces (TSIs) like CVS Falkirk, the “critically important” and “fantastic” work we’ve all done throughout the pandemic.
He also described how “inspiring it was to see so many people give their time to help others in the most difficult of times”, and the impact that had on his team and colleagues at Scottish Government.
“As we recover from the pandemic, the third sector and TSIs have an increasingly important part to play,” with a promise of more opportunity to come.
Our Chair David finished the event with this lovely message:
“We’re very proud of the impact CVS Falkirk has made during COVID-19, and of the work done by the CEO and frontline team.”
David also thanked our supporters over the last 6 months, and announced that our new Deputy CEO will be starting with us next week, as part of our plan to be even stronger, and well-placed for future opportunities.
Thank you all for making this year’s AGM such a success. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year – hopefully in person (with those beloved mini pies!).
