Tesco Community Grants (previously the Tesco Bags of Help scheme) is always open for applications from charities and community organisations who support local children and families, to bid for grants of up to £1,500. Projects are voted on by Tesco customers in stores across the UK, with projects changing every 3 months.
They are currently accepting applications from charities and community groups who deliver projects that help to tackle food insecurity and poverty in their communities. (This might include, for example, breakfast clubs, community growing, cookery skills and food banks.)
Support is available throughout the process from greenspace scotland’s team of Community Enablers (who administer the fund with Groundwork); the Community Enabler for the Falkirk area is Sue Wyllie, who is available by phone: 07825678249, or email: sue.wyllie@greenspacescotland.org.uk
Groups can also be nominated for funding by Tesco customers and staff.
For further information, including how to apply, the areas of work eligible, and case studies of previous successful applicants, please visit the Tesco Community Grants page.
