Sported is a national charity with a vision of helping young people to thrive. Their approach is to provide support and information to the grassroots groups and clubs delivering sport and physical activity for young people aged 11 – 25 years old. (This must be “Sport for Good” and not just sport for its own sake). Sported wants to support the volunteers and people who give up their time to make a massive difference to young people.
Some of the support that Sported provide includes:
- a monthly funding bulletin
- a monthly newsletter
- access to the Sported Hub which contains a wide variety of information and benefits
- regular webinars on relevant topics (fundraising, governance, safeguarding, business planning)
- a team of professional volunteers who can support clubs with challenges they are facing, such as business planning, marketing, and demonstrating impact
- Sported occasionally have funding opportunities, and from time-to-time work with other funders to support Sported member groups.
Sported Membership is free, and membership applications are available on the Sported website.
