As the summer holidays are about to begin, we have gathered information on community and third sector holiday activities across Falkirk District, where local groups and communities are working to help people of all ages enjoy the Summer of Sport locally.
This page features information on free activities for children and young people, sports fans, families and fitness enthusiasts, and includes play sessions, day trips and outings, sports classes, walking challenges, and childcare.

- ASN Play Pals Discovery Play Sessions at Carron Gymnastics Centre, beginning Sunday 28 June 2026.
- First 4 Kids Summer Holiday Club, taking place on weekdays during the school holidays, running Monday 29 June 2026 – Tuesday 11 August 2026, 8am – 6pm, at the Tryst Community Centre in Stenhousemuir.
- Falkirk Council Summer of Sport 2026 brochure and dedicated website are now live, highlighting a range of free or discounted activities taking place across Falkirk District.
- Go! Youth Trust’s Commonwealth Games-themed Summer Holiday Programme begins Tuesday 30 June 2026 for young people aged 8 – 16 years old.
- Safer Communities Youth Action Project (SCYAP) has extended its Summer Activities for Young People to include groups and activities for young people aged 10 – 18 years old. The first of the new sessions is Master Chef at the Hub, taking place on Wednesday 1 July 2026, 2pm – 4pm, at Tamfourhill Community Hub.
- OPFS Summer Activities Programme bookings will be announced shortly, for themed activities beginning Tuesday 7 July 2026.
- The Walking Scotland Summer of Sport Step Count Challenge is a four week team walking challenge running Monday 6 July 2026 – Sunday 2 August 2026 for teams of five people or less.
- ROOTS Summer Activity Days take place 11am – 2pm on Wednesday 8 July 2026 in Banknock, Wednesday 15 July 2026 and Wednesday 22 July 2026 in Denny, and Wednesday 5 August 2026 in Bonnybridge.
- Grangemouth Community Sports Trust and Falkirk Victoria Harriers have come together to announce a summer of athletics with their new Athletics Summer Camp, beginning Monday 13 July 2026.
- Polmont Sports Centre have daily sessions of free activities for 7-11 year olds on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Running until Monday 10 August, the sessions timetable changes each week with updated information available via the Polmont Sports Centre Facebook page, as well as posters displayed inside the Centre, Meadowbank Library and Meadowbank Health Centre (updated each Friday). - RISE Forth Valley Summer Programme, running Monday 29 June 2026 – Saturday 25 July 2026, featuring a series of free activities across the four weeks.
- Falkirk’s World Cup Village takes place on Saturday 4 July 2026, 12pm – 3pm at the Falkirk Football Stadium Fanzone.
