Link Academy (part of the Link Group) has announced that its Sporting Chance Programme (in partnership with Falkirk Foundation) will be running during May for young people aged 16 – 25 years old, beginning on Wednesday 13 May 2026.
Based at McKinven House, George Street, Falkirk, FK2 7EY, the 13 week course will take place on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10am – 3pm.
Through community sports-based activities, Sporting Chance aims to help young people build positive connections and a stronger sense of belonging. Participants have the opportunity to strengthen their wellbeing, build resilience, and grow in confidence through physical activity and personal development sessions.
This course is free to attend, and lunches and refreshments are provided throughout. However, Link Academy is unable to provide transport, and young people will need to access the venue independently.
Referrals can be submitted via the online form (linked for your convenience).
Any referrals received will be added to Link Academy’s waiting lists, and the team will reach out to arrange initial meetings over the coming weeks. These initial meetings are a chance for the young people to meet with the Development Worker to discuss the course in more detail, and ask any questions they may have. The Development Worker will also assess suitability to ensure that they find a course that best fits the young person’s needs.
Sporting Chance will run at other times throughout the year in Falkirk, meaning any young people who cannot participate in this chort will have other opportunities to get involved.
