Applications are now open for Social Investment Scotland’s (SIS) Retail Academy 2020, based in Falkirk and aimed at social enterprises who are looking to access mainstream retail and corporate markets.
SIS has 20 fully funded places (excluding travel and personal expenses) for Scottish social enterprises.
The programme has been developed to offer practical insight and knowledge to product-based social enterprises, and provide opportunities for participants to meet with retail and corporate buyers, who will provide feedback, and possibly develop a future buyer-supplier relationship with participants.
Those looking to take part should ideally be available for the pre-Academy pitch training on Thursday 7th May in Glasgow, and for the full programme taking place over 2 days and 2 nights, Wednesday 20th May – Friday 22nd May in Falkirk.
Participants should also:
- aspire to sell their products at scale; SIS are currently looking for those offering products, rather than services
- have products developed, and ideally a trading history
- be open to taking on new learning and insight from experts in the field
Those interested in applying should read the application guidance document, before applying through the online form.
The deadline for applications is Friday 13th March.
