On behalf of Scottish Government, Healthcare Improvement Scotland is carrying out a short engagement exercise, which will help inform the work of the Maternity Services Independent Review.

They are looking to hear from people who have experience of maternity services provided by the NHS in Scotland, within the last three years. Information provided will be shared with the independent review team, and will help to inform and shape their work as the independent review progresses.

The independent review focuses on: how changing trends in maternal characteristics, maternity care and outcomes will inform the planning and delivery of maternity services; maternity services in rural and island areas across Scotland; those from at risk of poorer outcomes; the governance and oversight of maternity services.
