Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs (SFAD) is working with Scottish Government and other partner organisations to understand more about people’s experiences of using family support services, with an online “Ask the Family” survey.
They ask that anyone aged 16 years old and over in Scotland, who is affected by alcohol or drug use (their own, or someone else’s), and who is being supported by family support services completes the survey.
“Family support services” includes:
- one to one and group support
- whole family support
- family support provided by paid staff, volunteers and peers (i.e. other family members)
- support for children, young people and adults in the family
The survey should take 10 – 15 minutes to complete; SFAD hopes to use the findings to help shape a new national “Whole Family Approach” for families affected by alcohol and drugs.
